چکیده

A novel technique for producing enhanced band width in micro and mm wave region of spectrum is presented. A new design of compact & broadband leaky wave dielectric resonator antenna is proposed using co-axially probe feed technique. Two different LWDRA are designed and their characteristic behaviors are compared. Finally, parametric study of Second Antenna has been done. With the proper design the resonant behavior of the antenna is found, over which the leaky wave DRA produces extended bandwidth. Keywords— DRA , LWDRA,NRD, LWRDRA,BL, BW , HFSS,ANSOFT.

Numerical Modeling and Experimental Study of Probe-Fed Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (RDRA) Supported by Finite Circular Ground Plane

Dielectric Resonator Antennas (DRAs) have received increased interest in recent years for their potential applications in microwave and millimeter wave communication systems. DRAs are normally used with the support of a ground plane. The radiation and impedance properties therefore depend not only on their physical dimensions and dielectric properties, but also on the size of the ground plane. ...

A Novel Circularly polarized dielectric resonator antenna with Branch-Line Coupler and Log-Periodic Balun

A new shaped circularly polarized dielectric resonator antenna (CP DRA) is studied with branch-line coupler and log-periodic balun for the GPS application. Since the coupler and balun are located under the DRA, it does not increase the footprint of the antenna, as a result the system is very compact. Two configurations are considered in this paper. In the first configuration, an external 50Ω lo...

Novel Element For Bnadwidth Improvement Of The Reflectarray Antenna

In this paper novel reflectarray antenna elements are proposed using aperture-coupled dielectric resonator antenna structures. Using these new structures, wide phase range and wide frequency bandwidth (up to 28.5%) with parallel and linear phase curves are obtained. In each case, an array consisting of 289 elements was simulated using the finite integration technique (FIT). The arrays exhibit 3...

Design of Hollow Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna Excited By Micro-strip Lines

Objective of this study is to enhance radius of curvature of return loss, input impedance & explore SWR and radiation pattern. Hollow CDRA has been used instead of single-element CDRA to achieve the above mentioned goal. The impedance bandwidth of a high permittivity hollow cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna excited by micro-strip lines was significantly improved by modifying the feed geo...
